Day 1 Kigali to Akagera

Our Guide will pick up Guests early in the morning. This trip starts from Kigali.

Pick up time: 6:00 AM (CAT)

Drive time : 3Hrs

Arrive at Akagera national park, head to the south for a morning boat ride.

here you will have an opportunity to see some aquatic wild animals and birds, including Hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, the famous Shoebill, Gray crowned cranes among others.

After the Boat ride, enjoy a game drive to the north, here you will have an opportunity to see the big 5 and more such as zebras, Giraffes, Blue monkeys, Olive baboons and so much more.

Take a lunch break at the Hotel, later resume for a night game drive. The savannah comes alive with nocturnal creatures such as hyenas, civets, and genets.

You can witness the fascinating behaviors of these elusive animals as they go about their nightly routines.

Day 2 Akagera national park

On this day, our guide will pick guests from hotel for a day game drive. 

Game drive starts: 7:00 AM (CAT)

On this day enjoy a morning game drive as guests will have an opportunity to see more animals they may have missed on the previous game drive.

During the game drive, guests will stop for a picnic lunch. After the picnic, Guests will head to the cultural village. 

Here you will learn more about the Rwandan cultural activities including cattle keeping, local beer making, and other traditional methods used in the past. Later drive back to Kigali, this tour starts and ends in Kigali. 

NOTE: Accommodation is Mid-rage and it is based on availability.
